Come Visit Our Wellness Room

Welcome to the Wellness Room. Students' social and emotional wellness is important to their learning and academic success as well as their overall health and well-being. Here at Hurricane Intermediate School we have created a space for students to go when they feel like they need to take a break to deal with some of the different feelings and emotions they might be experiencing.

This room offers students a great resource to regroup and learn how to better manage and regulate their emotions. Using activities, a calm and quite space away from distractions, this room is one of the first steps a student can take to help improve their own mental health.

SafeUT

What is SafeUT?

The SafeUT Crisis Text and Tip Line is a statewide service that provides real-time crisis intervention to youth through texting and a confidential tip program – right from your smartphone.

What can I do with it?

University of Utah Healthcare provides a 24/7 crisis line that you can access via chat, text, or call. They can help with emotional crises, bullying, relationship problems, mental health, suicide, and more.

It is FREE and confidential. They can provide emergency help, and will follow up with your school counselor and administration.

Who can use it?
SafeUT is for all our students - not only can you receive help for yourself, but you can also submit a tip if you have a friend in trouble.
