CLASSROOM GUIDANCE CURRICULUM

Our counselors reach each student by providing curriculum in the classroom on topics such as college and career readiness, self-confidence, interpersonal skills, bullying prevention, and resiliency. These lessons help benefit every student in the school.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

​​​

For students struggling academically, meeting with their counselor can help get them on the right track. We can provide short-term solutions to help them navigate working with teachers, identifying their learning style, and discovering new techniques to help them learn and be successful.

RESPONSIVE SERVICES

​​​

Whether it's bullying, drugs, alcohol, friend problems, academics, chronic absence, anxiety, or trauma, we are here to help support your student. We can provide in-school support as well as provide community resources and referrals to get you and your student the help needed. 

SMALL GROUP COUNSELING​

​

Many of our students are experiencing similar life events, such as divorce of parents, bullying, anxiety, anger, and more. Throughout the year, our counselors offer different small groups that allow students to meet students in similar situations and learn skills to manage, cope, and rise above challenges. Talk to your counselor if you are interested in being in a group!

HOMEROOM & iZAP​

Each of our students have a Homeroom class built into their scheduled, which gives them time to work on schoolwork and gives their teachers the opportunity to pull them out for iZap, which is an opportunity for the student to get one-on-one or small group help from a teacher, or to make up missed tests. All of our students can benefit every day from Homeroom and iZap!

SAFE UT

The SafeUT Crisis Text and Tip Line is a statewide service that provides real-time crisis intervention to youth through texting and a confidential tip program – right from your smartphone. By downloading the app (see homepage), you can submit tips about other students, or receive instant crisis services for yourself. It is completely free and easy to use.
